VISA Classic and a VISA Platinum credit card

 

The Visa Classic card offers a low fixed interest rate of 12.95% APR* along with travel discounts, travel dividends, auto renters insurance and much more. The VISA Platinum credit card has a minimum credit limit of $5,000 and has a variable interest rate of 1% above prime. Additional benefits of the VISA Platinum card include travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, earning Score Card bonus points on every purchase, plus much more. *APR = Annual Percentage Rate.



ATM/Debit Card

 

You can use your HEFCU Debit Card 24 hours a day to access your account at any ATM location. You can also use it instead of cash, credit, or writing a check wherever Visa is accepted. The amount of purchase is simply deducted from your share draft account.
A HEFCU ATM card gives you instant access to your accounts at more locations worldwide. Get cash, check your balance and transfer funds 24 hours a day!

DEBIT CARD SAFETY


With limitless ways to use your debit card, you need limitless peace of mind. HEFCU offers SHAZAM Bolt$. An app that gives you the ability to monitor your debit card and to set up transaction alerts to be sent to you based on your standards for when your card is used. With Bolt$ you can also block and unblock your debit card if you think you have lost it! In addition, you can set up to receive alerts from additional cards once you have enrolled your HEFCU debit card. Keep track of your debit card and cut down your risk of debit card fraud!


Keeping your account safe and secure is our highest priority. Text Fraud Alerts are part of our debit card protection program.


You will receive text alerts when suspicious activity is detected on your debit card. If you receive a “fraud alert,” reply Yes or No to confirm or deny the activity. In the event activity is confirmed fraud we’ll also automatically block your debit card to prevent any additional fraudulent activity. If the activity is legitimate, you can continue to use your debit card as normal. If you don’t reply to the text, or your phone number is not a mobile number, we’ll attempt to reach you via automated voice call.

Attention Visa Cardholder,

Providing you with important information about your account with Halliburton Employees’ Federal Credit Union is a high priority. This information is to let you know that Visa® recently introduced the Visa Account Updater (VAU) service as a convenience for Visa cardholders. While this is a convenient service, Visa requires we participate and we’ll begin submitting card updates to them as applicable when your debit/check or credit card information changes.

 

How VAU works

VAU extends the amount of time your account-on-file information is stored with your selected merchants by automatically updating your debit/check or credit card information due to account changes, like the expiration date.

For example, let’s say you’ve enrolled in recurring monthly payments to pay your electric bill with your debit/ check or credit card. As you know, we periodically replace your card, and your new card has a fresh expiration date. Instead of contacting the electric company to update your card information, your card information will automatically be updated, if your electric company is a participating merchant.

 

Sending debit/check or credit card information

Your updated card information, as applicable, is being sent to Visa. Visa will securely store your debit/check or credit card information and release the new information to financial institutions and participating merchants in order to process your requested transactions without interruption.
